Historic Gastown
This attraction celebrates the origin of Vancouver! In exchange for a
barrel of whiskey, smooth-talking "Gassy" Jack Deighton
convinced local loggers and trappers to build him a saloon they all
could share. |
|
 |
Stanley Park
The top Vancouver tourist attraction, Stanley Park is both incredible
and beautiful. It is a 1,000-acre wilderness park located only blocks
from the downtown. |
|
 |
Canada Place
Home of the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre, the Cruise Ship
Terminal, the CN IMAX Theatre (see separate listing), shops,
restaurants and a first-class hotel, Canada Place was established as
the site for the Canada Pavilion at EXPO 86. The distinctive sails of
the roof are a Vancouver landmark. |
|
 |
Capilano Suspension Bridge
A Vancouver attraction that embodies the area's energy, combining
nature, culture and adventure! Vancouver's famous Capilano Suspension
Bridge crosses 230 feet above the beautiful Capilano River to the
serenity of West Coast rainforest trails. |
|
 |
Queen Elizabeth Park
occupies the site of a former quarry, and is located at one of the
highest points in the city. It has splendid views of the city, sea
and mountains real attractions, however, are the carefully manicured
gardens. Flower beds burst with color, the grass is tidily mown, and
a small stream falls down a waterfall and gently trickles under a
picturesque bridge, often occupied by newlyweds having their picture taken. |
